Scheduled Community Conversations

We have a variety of all community conversations occurring throughout the year. All of these community conversations are voluntary except where indicated.

Project Orientation: What Is It and How Do I Do It?

A 60-minute orientation will be provided preceding each of the Leadership Academy trainings. For the virtual trainings you will be invited to call in one hour early (at 2:15 p.m.). For the live trainings, you will be invited to arrive one hour early (at 9:00 a.m.). New staff joining the community or continuing members with questions are strongly encouraged to attend.

Mandatory: The Lead Administrator and the Fiscal Agent (your point of contact in the accounting office) from each of Project READ’s 44 school sites are expected to participate in a 60-minute teleconference call to review the new subcontracting deliverables, rates of pay, and invoicing procedures each year of the program. The date of this call is May 18, 2015, 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., to review the subcontract for July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2016 (Year 3) of Project READ.

Scholastic Products Question and Answer

Denise Meyers, Director of Implementation for Scholastic Products, will be hosting a monthly 60-minute information call to answer all of your burning questions. Whether you are deciding what to purchase or are a longtime user of Scholastic products no question is too big or small. Dates and times for this monthly Q and A are listed in the Calendar Section on pages 200 and 206.

Project Read Online Learning Community

This site is designed to support ongoing conversations and cross sharing of ideas and practices for Site Coaches, Lead Administrators, and participating staff from the 44 competitively selected Project READ school sites. This is our virtual space to connect, network, and enjoy being in the community.

All Community Main Group

Members include Site Coaches, Lead Administrators, and school site staff who have or are participating in Project READ PD activities. This All Community Group permits dialogue across individuals, perspectives, and roles so that all Project READ participants can share successes, challenges, and questions with each other. This All Community closed group (closed to anyone else on planet earth) will grow over time as more participants become involved in Project READ.

Coaches’ Corner

Members include all Project READ Site Coaches. This closed group (closed to anyone else who is not a Project READ Site Coach) is designed to provide opportunities for Site Coaches to network, share, ask questions, and glean information and resources to support their work in Project READ.

Monthly Reminders

On the first of each month, the Lead Administrator as well as the Site Coach receive a monthly digest with program guidance and reminders for the upcoming month. The information includes deadlines for reporting or data submissions, training completion dates, reminders to anticipate upcoming events, and details. We know you are handling a lot of responsibility as teachers and administrators and this e-mail is intended to let you know exactly what needs to happen and when every month.
